Founded by Amasa Godfrey Ngogo, a visionary fashion designer, trainer, and entrepreneur, the brand began as a small tailoring workshop driven by creativity, determination, and a dream to create a fashion hub that reflects both cultural heritage and modern trends. Amasa’s journey in fashion began at a young age. As a child, he was deeply fascinated by the sewing machine and would often play with it,not knowing that one day, it would become the foundation of his calling. Though it started as an innocent curiosity, that early exposure sparked a lifelong passion for design and garment creation. It wasn’t until the year 2019 that he formally began working in the tailoring industry, turning what was once a childhood interest into a professional career. From its humble beginnings, G-MAS started with limited resources just a few normal sewing machines, a small office. Despite these constraints, the company quickly gained recognition for its high-quality garments, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction. The name GMAS itself stands for "Growth, Mentorship, Art & Skills", symbolizing excellence, creativity, and divine inspiration. Over the years, G-MAS HOUSE OF DESIGNERS has grown into a reputable fashion house known for innovative clothing designs, professional tailoring services, and skills development. The company has expanded its services to include custom-made outfits, fashion training programs, clothing rentals, and accessories -serving a diverse clientele across Tanzania and beyond.
